water info |
Maltese Cross is from arid areas of Madagascar and as such likes to go totally dry between waterings in winter, but actually appreciates ample summer water (as long as the temperatures are warm and soil well drained) and will grow very quickly during that time. Remember that if kept in a small pot your plant will want more frequent watering. If kept quiet dry during summer this plant will atrophy its lower leaves and have a smaller crown of dwarfed leaves. |
