info
For this plant summer water is not recommended. You’ll rob yourself of the main reason people grow this plant (to see the fall season rose-like form). Let it go through summer, resist watering even if it looks like it is shriveling up and “dying” as long as you are relatively near the coast it will be fine. Resume watering from October - May if winter rains fail.

Growing Notes

Most aeoniums are monocarpic, meaning that a head will die once it flowers, usually replaced by the lower suckers on clumping varieties like this one.
Aeoniums tend to be brittle, so they should be kept away from high traffic areas where physical damage is a possibility.
When over-fertilized, aeoniums grow lush and soft, attracting aphids.
